Just got back from a special Police Rehearsal Concert @ GM Place. Was a pretty decent show. Nice stage and good tunes, but I wasn't completely blown away. It lacked a little of the spark and energy I'm used to seeing in a live show, but maybe it's an age thing. I still expect it'll be the highest grossing tour of this year.
I was very fortunate to score some great tickets from work and the highlight for me was to actually get to see Stewart Copeland drum live. He's by far one of the most influential drummers of our era and all the bands I love basically view Stewart Copeland and John Bonham as the legendary drum gods of yesteryear. I would expect the shows will get better as time goes on and they gel a bit more, after all it's been 25 years since they toured last. Maybe if we're lucky Best Buy will be sponsoring many more concert tours... I hear Bon Jovi has a new album coming out...
Here's some pictures and video i took from the concert:
UPDATE: More Pictures - ie better ones that Luis took from the concert.

What a shame... I must say that I'm really disappointed that it turned out to be the Sting show, featuring the Police... The energy that made The Police the best band of the 80's is gone and it's been turned into a lame Jazz show.
Anyone want to buy my tickets for the November 8th show in Toronto?
Don’t sell those tickets! I was at the rehearsal last night and I was lucky enough 1st official kick off tonight as well. I would agree that the rehearsal lacked some energy, but not the opening show tonight, they were high energy and true to the original material. It was over the top. They can still play, in fact I would say that they are better than ever. I saw them in 85 and they were much better tonight.
Da do do do, Dad da da da. That’s all I got to say to you.
